On Thursday, March 13, as in previous years, Shah Newaz Group, a well-established business entity in New York, organized an Iftar Mahfil during the holy month of Ramadan. The event took place at Gulshan Terrace in Woodside, where around 400 expatriates were warmly welcomed by prominent businessman and CEO of Shah Newaz Group, Shah Newaz, along with Chairwoman Amena Rano Newaz.
People from various professions across New York attended the Iftar Mahfil and participated in a special prayer before breaking their fast, seeking the blessings of the Almighty. The religious discussion was conducted by Mohammad Saifullah Siddiqui, Pir of Shorshina, and Mirza Abu Jafar Beg, Imam of the Jamaica Muslim Center. Before Iftar, Mirza Abu Jafar Beg led the prayer, seeking the satisfaction of the Almighty Allah.
Addressing the attendees, Shah Newaz, President of Shah Newaz Group, emphasized that the holy month of Ramadan is a great blessing for self-purification. He expressed gratitude to the Bangladeshi community, particularly to the officials of his organizations and esteemed members of the community, for their continued support. He further stated that with the community's cooperation, the activities of the Shah Newaz Group would continue to progress. He expressed his hope that the upcoming Eid would bring happiness to everyone’s lives.
